Q: Was wonder what it wud cost to file for bankrupcy? how long wud it take, the process? I am seriously concidering.nk
show answer...A: close answer...Assuming you are talking about a personal Chapter 7
bankruptcy. Fees typically run between $1,500 - 2500 plus a $299 filing
fee, which is paid to the bankruptcy court. In addition, you are
required to take two bankruptcy counseling classes, one prior to filing
and one that you take after you file. Each class costs between $25 and
$50. The bankruptcy filing consists of a petition, a series of
schedules in which the property you own is disclosed, what debts you
have, and your current monthly income and expenditures. A list of your
creditors is provided. They are then informed by the bankruptcy court
that you have filed for bankruptcy. About four weeks after your case is
filed, you will attend a meeting of creditors. At this meeting, the
bankruptcy trustee, who is responsible for administering your case, will
speak with you about your case. The meeting usually lasts less than ten
minutes. It is the trustee's duty to collect any of your unprotected
assets and sell them for the benefit of your creditors. About four
months after this meeting, the bankruptcy court should enter your
discharge, which makes all debts you owe, with certain exceptions,
legally unenforceable. Your case may remain open for several months
after your discharge to allow the bankruptcy trustee to fully administer
your case.

Q: I’m interested in new kitchen cabinets and countertops. Where do I begin?
show answer...A: close answer...First you must determine a budget for the project. Will you be in the house long term, selling in the near future, or possibly using the property as a rental? If you’re looking to sell, quality kitchen cabinets and countertops will increase the home’s value by thousands. Next you must determine the functionality and look of the new kitchen. Three factors you must select for cabinets are wood species, door style and finish. Countertops range from inexpensive laminate to granite and quartz. Q: I’d like to paint the exterior of my house this Spring, I’d like to get your advice on how to proceed.
show answer...A: close answer...First and most importantly, be certain the weather will be over at least 50 degrees for at least one week. The paint will adhere much more effectively in warmer temperatures. Next use pressure washing to thouroughly clean the house. Once dry, fill all holes with caulking and spot prime. You’re now ready to paint. Once completed, make sure to remove all masking materials when still wet to prevent paint removal. Please contact the paint professionals at Homco Ace Hardware with any further questions.
